Winter Essentials

I’m not a big fan of winter. My birthday (I’m turning 21 in less than a month!) and Christmas are pretty much the only two things that make the cold somewhat bareable. It’s been bitter cold in Illinois lately, so I thought this would be the perfect time to share with my fellow Northerners my favorite ways to combat the cold. Here are a couple of my favorite things for staying warm in the winter time:

Double Lined Socks There are few things I hate more than having cold feet in the winter. I got the cutest pair of double lined socks for Christmas and I’ve been living in them since! You can find them here.

Cute PJs If you’re cooped up in the house all day, you at least want to be cozy! Target sells PJ sets that are super affordable (and cute too!)

Hot Drinks An obvious one, but important nonetheless! My go to is either tea, a latte, or hot chocolate.

Tech Gloves These are great when you need to use your phone outside but you don’t want to take your gloves off. I have a pair that are on the thinner side, but they were only $5 from Old Navy!

Hand Cream I just got a new thick hand cream from L’Occitane and it’s been a lifesaver for my dry hands! Shea butter is a great ingredient for adding moisture to your skin, especially when the air is so dry in winter.

Sweater Tights I love wearing skirts and dresses in winter, so having thick tights is really important! Fleece lined tights are essential when you want to have warm legs.

Scarves Another obvious one, but you can never overstate the importance of a cute scarf in winter! My favorite thick winter scarf is from Zara and only cost $25.

Thanks for reading! Stay warm friends!
