Let me start by saying that I am in no way a makeup professional. My routine may not be deemed as “correct”, but it’s the method that works best for me. As a member of the pasty people committee, I have found it to be quite the struggle to find makeup that matches my skin tone (particularly foundation). I consider myself to be a makeup enthusiast and I love seeing products that other people use because you never know when you may find a new holy grail item!
I got my makeup bag in January on my latest trip to Disney World. It’s from the Disney x Vera Bradley collection and I am seriously OBSESSED with it!
Primer I use a combination of my Photo Finish Primer from Smashbox and my Benefit Porefessional. Through the years my skin has gone through a lot of highs and lows, so I love having a go-to primer to smooth everything out before I move on to foundation.
Foundation Depending on the day and how much coverage I want, I will either use my Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation in Light 41 or my drugstore preference, L’Oreal True Match Foundation in W1 (which I always apply with my trusty beauty blender).
Eyebrows My eyebrows and I have been on a real journey together. I have tried both powders and pencils, but I always seem to go back to my favorite eyebrow pencil. I tend to opt for the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel.
Eye Concealer This is probably one of my favorite parts of my routine because I go from looking like a zombie to an actual functioning human. I’m loving the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Fair.
Concealer For discoloration in my skin, I use the Revlon ColorStay Concealer in Fair.
Mascara This is probably the one part of my routine that I switch up the most. I love trying out new mascaras and my current favorite is the L’Oreal Lash Paradise.
Powder My skin has the tendency to get shiny throughout the day and reapplying powder is the best way to keep my shine at bay. The Maybelline Fit Me Powder in Porcelain 110 has been my favorite for years.
Highlight My favorite step by far! Becca’s Pearl Powder Highlight is my go-to, but as soon as I hit pan I have Pixi’s London Lustre waiting to go.
Setting Spray A newer addition to my routine, but crucial none the less! The NYX Matte Setting Spray does a great job of melting my makeup into my skin while also keeping my skin shine-free.
